Extraordinary 2012 Gift Ideas For The Golfer Who Has Everything

3 Things All Golfers Should Do in 2012

Hi everybody! According to some people, the world as we know it is going to end in 2012. If this is true, what's the best gift you can give a golfer (or yourself) next year?  Read on and find three destinations of great pilgrimage for golfers, before it's too late!!

The Ryder Cup 2012

It doesn't come any better, tickets toThe Ryder Cup! One of the biggest sporting events on the planet and a must see for golfers at least once in their lifetime. America hosts the 2012 event at The Medinah Country Club, Illinois. This prestigious club has hosted three U.S Opens and two PGA Championships.

Tip: If America is too far, then consider the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles, Scotland (if we are still around!)

The Floodlit Faldo Golf Course,  Emirates, Dubai

This 18 hole Championship Course was modified in 2010, now golfers can tee-off as late as 8pm and play until midnight due to the floodlights surrounding the fairways. An awesome gift, not many golfers can say they played at night! The biggest challenge is reading the greens, very difficult due to the shadows from the floodlights.

Tip: Hire one of the local caddies for your round. They can help you read the greens. It also gives you someone to blame if you play poorly!!

The British Golf Museum, St. Andrews.

The history of golf is a fascinating subject. The museum at "the home of golf," St. Andrews is a fantastic place for golfers to visit. Some of the exhibits include: An insight into some of the personalities, like old and young Tom Morris, the kings and queens of Scotland who played the game and the oldest known set of golf clubs in the world.

Tip: Try the "18th Hole". Visitors can practice their putting, using a variety of different eras of putter and different types of golf ball from across the ages.

What golfing pilgrimage would you love to make in 2012? Please tell us on about it on Facebook.
